Why I began to create & share my herbal Blends

There’s always been an indescribable connection that I’ve felt with plants. I’ve always viewed this connection as a synergistic relationship... One with sacred reciprocity, respect and deep gratitude. Throughout my life, when I’ve taken time to wholeheartedly be present in nature, I have been/am always reminded of the simple fact that I too, am nature.

It is plant medicine that always brings me back to the equilibrium I seek. Whether I am in nature surrounded by tall swaying trees, tending to our plants around the house, preparing leafy greens for a nourishing meal or receiving the healing benefits from herbal tinctures... Plants themselves always have a way of bringing me to the centre of my heart, my soul and my health.

It is because of this relationship I speak of, that I have always had a deep trust in medicinal and magic ways plants can support our body. This trusting has lead me to have beautiful healing journeys with the support of plants and has taught me that many plants also have the incredible intelligence to adapt their medicinal properties to meet the unique needs of the bio-individual using them (how groovy is that?!).

As an individual, I have used the support of plants/herbs to heal my once upon a time burnt out nervous system, improve my gastrointestinal health and function, reduce the inflammation and pain levels from severe endometriosis, to prepare my body for optimal fertility, to sustain a conscious conception, to support my hyperemesis gravidarum while pregnant, to nourish myself throughout breastfeeding but also enrich my breastmilk and now to replenish my body (as a whole) in my postpartum journey. These are at least some of the key areas of my health that I want to share with you; that plant medicine has undoubtedly nurtured and improved my well-being along the way. In fact I believe some aspects of my journey wouldn’t have been possible without working with herbs as an ally (I truly mean that)

As a lover of a holistic and preventive approach to health, I was first introduced to the potency of herbs through the support of many different naturopaths, herbalists, Chinese medicine practitioners and Ayurvedic doctors. Over the the past 10 years I have learnt a lot from the practitioners I continue to work with, from teachers, local farmers, as well as much self study on all things plants. It is with this knowledge that I began to make my own herbal tinctures, herbal salves, Yoni steam blends, medicinal teas and tonics... Always referring to my practitioners/teachers as needed (but this has becomes less over the last few years).

Part of the reason I began making my own herbal concoctions was to do with the curiosity and the satisfaction I’d feel from using personal herbal blends... But then as I learnt more about plants, I also learnt about the significance the quality of the herbs we use have on our body.

The more I learnt and the more I understood... The less I was satisfied and comfortable using herbs/products made by other businesses. We live in a society where profit margins, branding, aesthetics and influencing seem to matter more than the quality of the product being sold. Businesses whose products I once trusted to use with my body and to share with my clients/community, continue to move away from the integrity and heart they were once founded with.

So this is my why.

This is why I now personally create and share handcrafted herbal blends. From Yoni steams, sacred bath soaks to teas... My bespoke creations are made for like-minded humans who value high quality herbs when caring for their well-being through intention fuelled rituals.

know my products are made with organic herbs, sourced locally where absolutely possible and have immense love infused throughout the entire creation process. I feel confident and proud in sharing my blends, knowing there have been no nasties anywhere near any of my products. And I feel honoured to gift the full integrity that plant medicine was meant to be shared with.

So may you use these herbs knowing that they have been used and trusted with my own body first, that the quality of the plants themselves are of the utmost high standards, that every aspect of my business is executed with heart AND that with each purchase (big or small) you support my little family of three.

I hope you enjoyed a snippet into my ‘why’, beautiful human. If you’d like to talk more about the details of my story or my products, please feel free to email me as I always love to connect with my community!

With love,

Micaela x
